Code of Business Conduct and Ethics

The starting point of our engagement with the communities in which we operate, and with society at large, is strict adherence to the OfficeMax Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

The Code is tied directly to our Core Values and it sets forth specific rules regarding such topics as: receipt of gifts; conflicts of interest; bribes, kickbacks and rebates; interaction with law enforcement and other governmental agencies; and insider trading.

Built within the Code is an enforcement provision and a stipulation that all OfficeMax associates have an affirmative responsibility to report Code violations. Associates are instructed not only to strive for full compliance with the rules, but also with the proactive spirit in which they are presented.
