Historical Perspective

For five decades (prior to 2003), our company was an integrated forest products company called Boise Cascade^®. In 2003, we acquired the retailer OfficeMax, and began to combine it with our existing business-to-business office products distribution company. One year later, in 2004, we sold all of our manufacturing assets and timberlands, and renamed the company, OfficeMax.
