OfficeMax maintains a review process for publicity and advertising materials that includes senior executives and legal counsel to ensure that advertising claims, promises and promotional offers are in compliance with relevant laws.
For publicity and media commentary, OfficeMax maintains a “One Voice” policy that restricts media interactions to the company’s external relations department and its selected spokespeople. Through this policy, OfficeMax is able to evaluate public statements with senior executives and legal counsel to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
OfficeMax has not had any material incidents of non-compliance with regulatory or voluntary codes concerning marketing communications.
